Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
The short version
No account. You can use InvoSlip without signing up.
Your documents stay on your phone. Invoices, receipts, customers, your business profile and logo are stored on your device. We don't upload them to our servers. We don't have servers that hold your documents.
Receipt scanning happens on your phone. Photos and the text read from them are not uploaded.
Some technical data is collected by Google services built into the app: anonymous usage statistics and crash reports (Firebase), ads (Google AdMob) and text-recognition diagnostics (Google ML Kit). Details below.
We don't sell your personal information.
1. Who we are
InvoSlip ("the app") is published by Brainity Solutions ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. If you have any question, contact us at dev.brainitysolutions@gmail.com.
2. Information you enter in the app
To create invoices and receipts you may enter business details (name, address, email, phone, logo), customer details (name, email, address), line items, amounts, taxes, notes and payment information you choose to print on a document.
This information is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage.
It leaves your device only when you choose to send it somewhere: for example when you save a PDF to a folder, share a PDF with another app, print, export all documents, or create a backup file. Where it goes then (for example your Downloads folder, Google Drive, an email app or a printer) is your choice, and that service's own privacy policy applies.
We do not receive, read or store this information.
3. Camera and receipt scanning
The app asks for camera access only so you can photograph receipts. You can say no and still import an image or type details yourself.
Text in your photos and imported files is read on your device using Google ML Kit's built-in text recognition. Your images and the recognized text are not uploaded.
Scan images are kept temporarily in the app's private storage while you review them and are deleted afterwards.
Google ML Kit may send Google limited diagnostic and usage information about how the feature performs (for example device type, app version and performance metrics) to maintain and improve it. This does not include your images or the text they contain. See Google ML Kit terms.
4. Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google, to understand how the app is used and to fix problems.
What is collected: app events such as "document saved" or "PDF shared" (with counts and categories only), an app-instance identifier, device model, operating-system version, app version, language, approximate country (derived from your IP address), and crash and error details (such as the stack trace and device state at the time of a crash).
What is not collected: we designed our events so they never contain your document contents, customer or business names, amounts, email addresses or scanned text.
InvoSlip is free and shows ads provided by Google AdMob:
Where ads appear: a banner at the bottom of the Home and Documents screens, and occasionally a full-screen ad (image or video) after you finish a task, such as closing the “PDF saved” message or leaving the editor after saving. Full-screen ads appear at most once every few minutes and never while you are editing or scanning.
Ads never see your documents. Your invoices, receipts, customers, business details and scans are never shared with AdMob.
AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address (which can indicate your approximate location), device and app information, and how you interact with ads, to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud.
Ads may be personalized based on your interests where the law allows and you have agreed. If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent the first time you reach the Home screen, and you can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings › Ad privacy choices.
You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your Android settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads, or Google › Ads depending on your device).
Internet / network state: used by Firebase and AdMob. Creating, editing, scanning and saving documents works offline.
Advertising ID: used by AdMob as described above.
The app does not ask for access to your contacts, location, microphone or all your files. When you import an image or PDF, or save or back up a file, you pick the file or folder yourself using Android's system picker.
7. How long information is kept
Your documents: on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Backup and export files you create are kept wherever you saved them until you delete them.
Analytics data: retained by Google for up to 14 months, then deleted.
Crash reports: retained by Google for up to 90 days.
Advertising data: retained by Google according to its own policies linked above.
8. Your choices and rights
Delete your data: delete documents in the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything stored by it on your device. Remember to delete any backup or export files you saved elsewhere.
Ads: manage ad personalization in your Android settings or, in the UK/EEA/Switzerland, in the app under Settings › Ad privacy choices.
Requests: depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of personal information, or to withdraw consent. This includes rights under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, US state privacy laws such as California's CCPA/CPRA, Canada's PIPEDA and Australia's Privacy Act. Because we don't hold your documents, most data lives on your device under your control. For analytics or advertising data, email us and we'll help or point you to the right Google tool.
You can also complain to your local data-protection authority (for example the ICO in the UK, the OPC in Canada or the OAIC in Australia).
9. Sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for money. Information is processed by the service providers named above (Google Firebase, Google AdMob, Google ML Kit) only to provide their services to the app. We may disclose information if required by law.
10. Security and international transfers
Your documents are kept in the app's private storage, protected by Android. Data sent to Google's services is encrypted in transit. Google may process this data in countries other than yours, including the United States, under its own safeguards.
11. Children
InvoSlip is a business tool for adults and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the UK/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we'll help remove it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes, for example if we add new features or services. We'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
